From Nonna Anna's Kitchen to New York

Tony Park was born Korean and raised Italian, learning to cook at his Nonna Anna's side in Italy, flour on the counter, recipes passed by hand, not by book. He trained at the Scuola Alberghiera di Palermo, then carried those recipes to New York in 1998. In late 2018 he opened a bakery named after his daughter, Angelina.

Then Covid hit. With Times Square shuttered and under construction, the business came within an inch of bankruptcy, and Tony nearly walked away more than once. A real estate broker's faith, "things will come back, stick around," kept him in the fight. He spent the lockdown cooking with family and quietly perfecting his recipes.
